MedShr and BMJ Case Reports collaborate to encourage peer-to-peer learning through clinical case discussion

MedShr - the private, professional network for clinical case discussion - has announced a joint initiative with BMJ Case Reports, one of the most influential medical journals in the world. This venture provides a platform for BMJ subscribers to discuss BMJ Case Reports, enhancing the educational value of Case Reports through peer-to-peer discussion.

BMJ subscribers can benefit from exclusive access to a private BMJ Case Discussion Group on the encrypted MedShr mobile application and web platform. Subscribers can connect with each other in a private group to engage in clinical discussions on BMJ case reports which are updated monthly. This group contains only approved members who can view and contribute to case discussions. The BMJ will also make accessible a selected number of case reports in an open group for all MedShr members to learn from and discuss. In the last six months, more than 40,000 doctors and medical students have engaged with BMJ Case Reports on MedShr.

MedShr is a private network of verified medical professionals who will benefit from access to the BMJ’s focused, peer-reviewed Case Reports. Founder and CEO of MedShr, Dr Asif Qasim, says “It’s an honour to work with the BMJ as we are bringing together medical professionals in one environment to discuss best practice, and ultimately improve patient care.”

MedShr will also offer to publish excellent cases that were not selected to become official BMJ case reports. The platform is an ideal channel through which this work can be showcased and be of benefit to the global medical community.
