We are incredibly proud and honoured to announce that MedShr has been recognised with the prestigious King's Award for Enterprise for Innovation!
The Awards, now in their 58th year, are the most prestigious business awards in the country. This distinguished accolade is a testament to our team’s unwavering dedication to transform medical education and advance patient care globally. We believe in the power of knowledge sharing to drive positive change in healthcare, and this award reaffirms our commitment to that mission.
Connecting over 2.8 million doctors and healthcare professionals in 195 countries, the MedShr platform enables members to share their expertise, learn about emerging treatments, recognise early signs of rare diseases and integrate new medical evidence into their clinical practice.
MedShr founder and CEO, Dr Asif Qasim said: “It is a real honour to receive a King’s Award, and as a London based company with global reach, we are proud to fly the flag for British enterprise and innovation. I am really proud of the MedShr team and our brilliant members around the world who share our mission to democratise medical education, improve patient care, and ultimately to save lives”.
MedShr has been recognised by the DTI as a high-impact digital health company and has been supported by the London Mayor’s International Business Programme, as well as winning awards for medical education and global health impact.
MedShr’s innovative technology fosters knowledge transfer across borders and between clinical specialties, with doctors discussing and learning from real clinical cases within a global medical community and interest-based groups. Medical experts, societies and conferences further support ongoing medical learning by contributing free interactive modules, webinars and courses across thousands of conditions and diseases as well as clinical decision-making and physician wellness. The platform is now used by doctors and healthcare professionals in 190 countries and territories and is increasingly embedded in NHS training programmes.
In 2024, MedShr is intensifying its commitment to democratising medical education. This Spring sees the launch of new digital polling technology to better assess educational needs, along with maternal health education partnerships in Nigeria and a new online hub dedicated to climate change and its impact on health.
